Wrongful Death
When a person dies as the result of another individual’s negligence or wrongdoing there is the potential for a civil claim for Wrongful Death. These cases are unique in that they usually involve two claims. One claim belongs to the person’s estate, and the other claim to his family or heirs.
Catastrophic Injuries
Similar to a loved one’s death, when someone is left permanently impaired due to another person’s negligence, feelings of unfairness are more than justified. When a person is left with a permanent injury, like an amputated limb or spinal injury that results in full or partial paralysis, he or she is forced to endure lifelong changes and profound hardships.
Medical Malpractice
Most doctors are excellent, and treat their patients with the highest level of care. Sadly however, there is a small group of medical providers (including doctors, nurses, hospital staff, etc.) in our community that routinely act irresponsibly and against the best interests of their own patients. In our country, thousands of people die each year as a result of medical malpractice.
Unsafe Premises
If your injuries were due to that of a property owner or business operator negligently failing to provide adequate security measures or reasonable precautions to protect its customers from criminally violent acts, you may be entitled to recover large sums of money.
Motor Vehicle Collisions
Collisions between automobiles, motorcycles and pedestrians happen every day on Georgia roadways, so often in fact, that they would seem like a common part of everyday life. According to the Governor’s Office of Highway Safety, in 2010 alone, there were 111,290 people injured in motor vehicle collisions on Georgia roads.
Commercial Trucking Accidents
Collisions caused by commercial trucks are entirely different than collisions caused by ordinary automobiles. Any attorney who treats a commercial truck accident like a “big car accident” is not experienced in this type of litigation. There are several aspects to trucking crashes in Georgia that make the practice unique. Without an attorney that is experienced in the field, the client can quickly lose value on a case.
Slips and Falls
Falls due to an unsafe condition on the property of a business happen every day. A spilled cleaning substance, an icy walkway, or a damaged sidewalk can cause fractured or broken bones, head and spine damage, or other serious, life-changing injuries. This isn’t your fault and you shouldn’t have to pay.
Nursing Home Negligence
The quality of nursing homes in our country have been described as a substantial stain on the fabric of American society. Growing old is a part of life, but when our loved ones reside in nursing homes, their safety and general well-being are always a concern. Because of their weakened condition, the older members of our family are a particularly vulnerable group.
